Once injected, the hyaluronic acid molecules attract and bind with water to softly volumize the treated area. Over time the gel is naturally broken down; however, VYCROSS® technology gives JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA added strength and flexibility for results that can last for a year or even 18 months.

Treatment with JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA may start with application of a topical anesthetic to prevent discomfort. The injections are performed with an ultra-fine needle according to a precise treatment plan. When enough JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA has been added to achieve the desired look, treatment is complete and there is no need for downtime. Injection sessions with JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA usually take around 30 minutes.
