Changing Attitudes: More Men Now Want Cosmetic Surgery to Boost their Career

A recent study conducted by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAP) shows that 49 percent of the US male population is now open to the idea of cosmetic surgery. Recently, board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Mark Pinsky has seen an increase in the number of men who desire to have liposuction, nasal surgery, eyelid surgery, facelifts and chin augmentation to improve their chances of getting a promotion or landing a better paying job.  Some just want to look as good as their spouses or significant other.

Gaining an edge over the competition

Most companies prefer fresh faced and good looking people to represent their companies or promote their products and services. To gain an edge over their younger competitors, many men who are in their 30s, 40s and 50s are now considering  facial cosmetic procedures. Aside from facial surgeries, many men who are in their 40s and 50s often consider surgery to improve their love handles or breasts.
