Where is the surgery performed?
The surgery is performed at ambulatory surgery centers that are accredited by the Association for ambulatory healthcare and Medicare and are located on or near campus of major hospitals where the doctors have admitting privileges. Some patients may elect ot have the surgery performed at a hospital.

What type of anesthesia do you use?
The forehead lift procedure is done under general anesthesia.

Will I be charged for follow up appointments? Is the cost of medications included in the final cost?
There will be no charge for postoperative appointments. Medication costs are not included but may be offset by your health insurance

When can I eat after surgery?
You will be able to have liquids the night of surgery, and progress as tolerated to solid food

How long is the surgery?
Typically, the forehead lift takes about an hour to complete.

What are the risks associated with the procedure?
Risks include bleeding, infection, as well as poor healing, widened scars, changes in the hairline, and asymmetry

Under what circumstances do I need to say overnight?
If a patient wishes, they may stay overnight. For longer procedures; your doctors may advise the patient to stay overnight

Do I have to stay in bed after surgery?
It is best to rest, either in bed or with your head elevated or in a comfortable chair. You will need to avoid all strenuous activities for two weeks.

When can I color my hair?
Two weeks after your surgery

How are forehead lift and upper eyelid surgery related?
A low position of the eyebrow can make the appearance of heavy upper lids. Sometimes both will need to be corrected to achieve the optimal result.

How many times can I have a cornonal lift?
Usually it is only needed once in a life time.
