Meet Dr. Mark A. Pinsky! Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery

Palm Beach plastic surgeon Dr. Mark Pinsky"My goal is to educate patients about what can realistically be achieved surgically, and allow them to make the best decision for themselves."

Practice Philosophy

Board Certification Means That a Surgeon Has...

Completed a formal training program that includes a two or three year plastic surgery-specific residency.

Passed rigorous oral and written examinations

Dr. Pinsky's medical school honors and board certifications attest to his knowledge, but his ability to listen and understand each patient's unique needs and concerns is what patients rave about most. 95% of Dr. Pinsky's cosmetic surgery patients are referred by other satisfied patients. And many of them have traveled from other continents to Palm Beach, Florida, to have their cosmetic surgery performed by Dr. Pinsky.

Dr. Pinsky focuses on listening to patient needs and providing realistic feedback about what can be achieved surgically. He provides his patients with in-depth consultations, and never makes them feel rushed. Because Dr. Pinsky is a firm believer that informed patients make the best decisions for themselves, he takes the time to answer every question, and provide resources that help patients make the choice that is right for them.

Sophisticated Skills and Experience

Dr. Pinsky uses a number of sophisticated surgical techniques in his practice. His use of a progressive technique called a TRAM flap allows him to create new breasts from tissues that have been transferred from the abdomen. This reconstructive technique is used for women who have undergone a mastectomy (removal of a breast or breasts).

Dr. Pinsky is also a skilled microsurgeon, and is the founder of the Microsurgery Program at St. Mary's Hospital, one of two trauma centers in Palm Beach County. This program has been instrumental in successfully re-attaching the fingers, arms, and legs of severely injured patients.

Active in the Community

Dr. Pinsky generously shares his time and support with a number of area charities. He is the Co-Chairman of Children's Place at Homesafe, an organization that benefits abused and neglected children in Palm Beach County, and was a Man of the Year nominee for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in 2001. He supports and is an active committee participant for the John W. Nick Foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness, which educates men as well as women about the disease, and Place of Hope, a Palm Beach charity that helps needy children in a variety of ways. Dr. Pinsky is also active in the March of Dimes and the Young Friends of the Red Cross.

In addition to helping those in need and supporting cancer education, Dr. Pinsky is a patron of the arts. He is a member of the Young Friends of the Kravis Center, which raises funds to bring a number of performing arts events to the Palm Beach area.

Dr. Pinsky is the Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Kimmel Center, an ambulatory surgery center in Palm Beach. In addition, he maintains membership in a number of professional organizations, including:
